"The Eye of the Storm" wins Best Feature Film Award at Vail Film Festival

April 2nd, 2012, Vail, CO - The 2012 Vail Film Festival presented by Cadillac announced Saturday the official award winners of the ninth-annual Festival. The Festival showcased 58 films from around the world, screened at The Sebastian hotel in Vail Village, Four Seasons Vail and Cinebistro in the Solaris complex.

Award Winners

Best Feature Film: "The Eye of the Storm"
directed by Fred Schepisi

Best Adventure Film: "The Art of Flight"
directed by Curt Morgan

Best Short Film: "What's Life Got To Do With It?"
directed by Noah Weisberg

Sometimes, it takes a dead guy to teach you something about living.

Best Documentary: "Zero Percent"
directed by Tim Skousen

In "Zero Percent," we are given rare access behind the walls of the notorious Sing Sing Correctional facility, as we follow the lives of several of society's forgotten men as they experience the transformative power of education.

Best Student Film: "Commerce"
directed by Lisa Robertson

A spiraling compulsion threatens to alienate businessman Ken from his family and leads to a chance meeting on an L.A. city bus with a young gambler, Pete, who could save or destroy him as he journeys to "Commerce."
